Costa Digiano is a small organic farm in Le Marche - Italy
Costa Digiano is the site of our dream project, where we’re developing an organic farm on 5 hectares of beautiful land, working with the principles of Permaculture and Biodynamic agriculture.
We’re using Permaculture design techniques to build a farm based on the observation and emulation of natural ecosystems, where respect and care for nature are at the heart of our goal to create a peaceful and sustainable lifestyle.
We believe in Biodynamic agriculture as a way to activate the life of the soil and contribute energy on many different levels to our land.
The products of our farm are an expression of this place and of our dedication to this project.
We produce a single variety extra virgin olive oil from our ancient Mignola olive grove.
Recently we introduced the first bee hives into our apiary, where the goal of our work is to support the wellbeing of this marvelous creature. In respecting the rhythm of the bees we produce raw thousand flower honey and hand crafted beeswax candles. Earth worms also have a special place at Costa Digiano and thanks to their work we transform any kind of organic matter into a precious humus.

In 2011 our desire to move closer to the earth brought us to Costa Digiano, convinced that a return to nature represents the only road towards a more sane and sustainable future. Armed with the firm belief that the earth belongs to all of us and that it is possible to "become" a farmer, we've taken a crazy leap of faith into our farming life at Costa Digiano, believing that everyone can transform their lives and work towards a better future.
Our goal is to document this possibility as a reality and share it with you as an experience through our blog and through events and classes held at Costa Digiano.
